Wow. Milwaukee can be so perfect in the summer. Not being able to sleep but desperately needing to, I decided to go for a walk since it is such a beautiful day to tire myself out. It is just so perfect here in the summer--and Milwaukeeans know it! Every weekend there seems to be something different going on. Today, my journey happened to pass through the East Side and they had the Summer Soulstice Festival. It was amazing just to see so many people outside enjoying the weather and relaxing with friends and dogs. They had live jazz music, a climbing wall, a skateboard park, and of course, lots of food and beer. Also this weekend are Polish Fest and the Lakefront Festival of the Arts. And of course the hebdomadal Farmer's market and Saturday Morning Jazz in Cathedral Square. For sports, today was the Milwaukee Urban Frog Adventure Race and a Brewers' game. Milwaukee is just so full of things to do! Now if only I had someone to do things with...
