I think i'm sick again. *Cough, cough.* Yeah, I know I'm sick again. It's the second cold in a week. Last week it was a super sore throat; this time, it's a really drippy nose... and just when I thought I was getting better. I think this whole system is screwed up. People get penalized for taking sick days yet compromise the whole staff by coming in when sick. It's not fair to make people choose between performance evaluations and comfort and well-being. And on top of the fear of infecting other people, I'm already ambivalent about calling in: the compunctious side of me says that I'm shirking my professional responsibilities and leaving the team short... the sick side of me just says screw it.
