There are some people I just plain don't understand. Today while I was waiting for my bus to go home (after an awful night at work with 2 spinal fluids to process), a man walked up to the bus stop with a drink. By the smell of it, it was coffee. He decided soon after arriving at the bus stop that he no longer wanted his drink. He took of the lid and splashed the remainder of his drink (probably half the total volume judging by the liquid that came out) all over the bench inside the bus stop. He then promptly walked over the garbage can, opened it, and deposited his cup. Given the lack of delay between discarding the coffee and the cup, I think he knew the garbage can was there all along. Why he decided to make the bench unusable is beyond me. From my perspective, his options were (a) place the whole cup in the garbage can; (b) place the whole cup on the bench; (c) do what he did. If he were too lazy to do things properly, choice (b) would have been most ideal. If his aim was to be considerate, choice (a) would be most suitable. I have no clue what his intentions were by chosing choice (c). Sometimes people do the strangest things. I'm going to bed.
