These past few days have been... insipid... to say the least. Those few tense seconds when I struggled to keep my bar of soap from falling to the floor--those were the most emotively engaging moments I had had in a while. And when I realized this, I also realized that things had to change. I called up a friend and we hung out tonight chatting and watching TV. It was only for a couple of hours, but it was such a refreshing change to my stale routine. I must say: There is no substitute for face-to-face social human interaction. That's one lesson I've definitely learned since coming to Milwaukee.
