Well, the good thing about working in a lab is that I can do my own testing for free... at least the stuff we do here. I Gram stained a sputum sample. I'm sick for sure: lots of PMNs floating around. No predominating organisms, so at least it's not an overwhelming bacterial infection of any sort. Unfortunately, I don't have the tools (or really remember enough microbiology from school) to figure out exactly what I have in addition to the normal flora. At least it's given me something to do for the past half hour. The bad thing about working in a lab is that I'm here instead of lying in bed.
