Recognition feels good... I would suspect even to the most humble. I received a "pat on the back" nomination yesterday for spending 20 minutes to manually reprogram all the settings on a printer yesterday (while running my own department) and a co-worker saw what an effort it was. I didn't ask for the nomination--I try my best to do my job day in and day out--but it's the first time a co-worker has ever recognized my efforts as exceptional. To bad I most likely won't be around to reap the benefits when it comes to annual evaluations next year.
