I really don't know what to think of my manager's Christmas gift. To each of her employees, she's given this paper gift bag. Nestled within a mass of tissue paper, are 8 Hershey's kisses, 2 mini Reese's peanut butter cups, 2 chocolate gold coins, a mini candy cane, and 2 single-serving packs of hot cocoa powder. The bag is probably worth more than its contents. I remember throwing out most of the stuff from last year's gift, which was pretty much identical. (The chocolates might have been different in proportion, but it still resembled leftover Hallowe'en treats plus the cocoa.) My previous supervisor used to give out Blockbuster gift cards. I'd much rather have a Blockbuster gift card instead. Heck, I'd rather get bus tickets instead. I suppose I ought to be grateful for anything at all.
