I feel pretty s l o w right now, having done nothing this weekend but watch tv while dogsitting. It was nice while it lasted, but I think I shut my brain off for too long. So Im sitting here in the computer lab trying to read my book since sitting at home didnt work--even with the tv off. Gene prediction, when we were talking about it in class, seemed like a pretty interesting topic. Now that all I have is the drily written book to inform me, its become a rather dull topic in my mind. I am quite uninspired right now. Having trained my attention span down to the pace of primetime television over the last few days, I start surfing the web (sort of like a commercial break)... and stumble upon my horoscope as interpreted by AOL. (I just got on Instant Messenger too.) It says:
Your brain is hungry for some new data. If you've been wasting too much of your time watching TV or vegging out on the sofa, this is your chance to get busy and learn something new. Choose a topic you're interested in, and start doing some research. The more you learn, the more you'll want to know, and pretty soon you'll be at an expert level.
Either the horoscope is wrong or Ive definitely got the wrong topic. Hmm...
