At first I thought a census every 10 years by the US Census Bureau to be inadequate. Then I realized just how much information they collect... and now I realize it's definitely understandable that they only do a census every 10 years. They have data specific even down to city blocks. Mine had a population of 66 people in 2000--that's how small an area I'm talking about. There were 64 white people (96.7%), 1 Asian and 1 African American. Talk about diversity.

Milwaukee compositely is less homogeneous than I had originally realized--so much so that non-Hispanic white is less than 50%. However, it is pretty fractionated. I've looked up some random neighbourhoods which are 78% Hispanic or 96% Black. I suppose that's what naturally happens. I could spend hours looking at stuff like this. Wait... I already have. Shoot. (I should really get some work done instead.)
