Sometimes, things just work out. This, unfortunately, was not one of the times.I found out on Tuesday that the paper I thought I had over 2 weeks to finish is due in less than a week. No big deal, I thought. I'll just buckle down, get to the library to pick up some books and get this paper done in no time. Since it was a technology topic, I was sure the library would have the required resources. And they did: 5 or 6 pertinent e-books in the library's collection. I dutifully attempted to connect to the proxy server to retrieve my books. But, alas, the proxy server was down. Just what I needed! That means I have to go sit in the library/computer lab and read pages and pages of material on a 17" monitor with a 60Hz (max) refresh rate.
I guess things weren't all bad: yesterday when I was at the computer lab I solved the riddle of the strange neon blue power-sign lights. Hey, I'm trying to be optomistic.
