Murphy's law kicks my butt... once again. I have this nice presentation all set up for class today. I was going to test it out yesterday, but it turns out all of the computers are too archaic to support .NET so it's not installed. No matter, I'll just wing it, I say. But even still, I spend about an hour and a half trying to figure out exactly what I'm going to do during the presentation just so I don't screw up. And when it comes time to present, all hell breaks loose. The laptop I'm presenting from isn't hooked up to the Novell network so I can't get my files. I hook up another laptop and that one wouldn't send signal out to the overhead projector. So I transfer all my files from one to the other and start the presentation. My head blanks and I can't rememeber how to register the .dll. The program consequently crashes every 5 seconds. I finally think I remember how to register the .dll and I try it. Of course, it doesn't work and I'm not sure if I remembered incorrectly or it's just the computer. So then, I say to myself, at least I can show a filled database. Wrong again. I never emailed it to myself because I was counting on the presentation to work so I could generate the data. I hope the grade doesn't depend on the presentation. Screw it all to heck.
