It's such a nice sight to have a full fridge. For days, I've been running on (very near) empty: soup, waffles and vitamin pills were pretty much the only foods I had at home. Now that I've had time to go to the supermarket, it's been quite blissful. For breakfast, I had 2 bowls had cereal with milk. Breakfast was immediately followed by lunch: 肉骨茶排骨 and 蒜茸炒白菜 over rice. It was good. Breakfast was followed by snack not too long after. I had a tangerine and some stuff my cereal box informs me is called "muddy buddy:" rice chex with peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla extract and butter, covered in powdered sugar. To add my own touch to the recipe, I tossed in cocoa puffs as well (to balance out the sweetness of the chocolate).

I've discovered that, to me, there's more joy in the preparation of food than there is in the consumption of it. It's not always that the food I make actually comes out well--I was lucky today. In recent history, there was a concoction involving canned cranberry sauce, pancake syrup, soya sauce and chicken. Needless to say, it was extremely odd. I think the garbage can ate more of that than I did.
